A follow up on Socks with Sandals and the meaning of friendship

My family and I were introduced to Sophia Florio this past Saturday at the fantastically organized Great Strides CF Walk. Based on all the super fun photos of her on Facebook we thought we were prepared for her super cuteness, but it turns out we were not. I think I bordered on the creepy because I kept saying she was so cute. I must confess that I was not entirely sure how to interact with her. I think it might have been the “no touch” policy (in place to protect her from any exposure to germs) conflicting with the crazy urge to hug her. Continue reading →

It’s spring time and that means time to break out the tee-ball equipment and let the homers fly. For those of you who know my Mike it wouldn’t surprise you to hear that my son is full of tons of heart and soul. He is -as scholars like to put it- Artsy Fartsy. Personally, I love his artistic soul, but in our continuous effort to be regarded as the best parents in the WORLD, we think it prudent to expose him to all sides of life. First stop? Tee-Ball! The last time I had time to write a post about anything…well, as my son would say was “ages ago”. To be honest I still don’t have time, but I guess that would only matter if those of you reading where so enthralled with the quality of my writing that you demanded I take time to grace the universe with a regular chronicling of my thoughts. Fortunately, I recognize that I do not offer anything special by way of my thoughts and if you are here you are doing me a favor by taking time out of your day to read anything I write for the interwebs. My hope is that by the end of this post you would be so kind as to consider another favor altogether. Continue reading →

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. I guess it’s easy to get busy when you’ve been promoted. Yeah… that’s right I got a little promotion. Hooray for me! I am now to be called His Excellency at all times… just kidding. I am now Product Manager of Research and Development. Sounds cool huh? Actually, it’s a pretty neat job, but it’s only a stepping-stone towards a better place. Ultimately, progress is progress and I’m blessed to have made any to begin with.

It is amazing what TV can do to inspire a child. Before clicking on the image to the left I encourage you to take a second and try to imagine which Winter Olympic event inspired my son. Vote for your favorite move by leaving a comment below.

A word of caution: Please refrain from writing the Olympic Committee with demands on behalf of Mike. Don’t get me wrong I am convinced that this was a gold medal caliber performance, but I think there is a competitive age limit. Continue reading →

_

Here is my latest post on the High Touch Blog. This post is not AS exciting as the others in this series, but it’s one of my favorite subjects. It’s funny how even some of the most experienced IT/Web professional miss this and as a result end up causing all kinds of trouble on their network. Even if you are not the most tech savvy person on the planet I encourage you to take some time -if you have any- and read this over. It’s never to late to SPAMBUST!
